A CLEAR-CUT AND PROVEN DESIGN.
The 1815 CHRONOGRAPH stands for a unique alliance of traditional values and progressive micromechanical engineering. The arrange-
ment of the indications on the dial takes its cues from the coveted historic A. Lange & Söhne pocket watches, of which some 700 were already endowed with a chronograph function. The two reflection-symmetric subsidiary dials for the small seconds and the 30-minute counter, slightly shifted down from the horizontal centre axis, emphasise the classic origins of the watch.
FOR DISCERNING INDIVIDUALS.
With a power reserve of 60 hours and a proprietary Lange balance spring, the 1815 CHRONOGRAPH addresses the high expectations of our era. Its patented precisely jumping minute counter delivers a doubt-free reading of the minutes at any time. And the circumferential minute scale allows stopped times to be displayed with an accuracy of one-fifth of a second.
STOPPING TIMES IN A FLASH.
One of the most prominent examples of its mechanical sophistication and finesse is the flyback function that in this special way has been implemented in only very few chronographs: only one actuation of a single push piece is required to reset the 1815 CHRONOGRAPH in the middle of an ongoing time measurement and – by releasing it again – to instantly start a new measurement. This function – it dates back to the beginnings of aviation in the early 20th century – has lost none of its charisma.
