A MASTERPIECE WITH 556 PARTS.

The completion of this manually wound movement with chronograph, perpetual calendar, and the many superb Lange-style details is a challenge even for consummate watchmakers. A total of 556 indivi-dual parts must be assembled and adjusted to interact flawlessly in a time-consuming process. Only few specialists have the multiple skills needed to craft such a complex and complicated mechanism from the beginning to the end.

COMPLEX MECHANISMS.

The sturdy foundation of this exclusive Lange movement is composed of plates and bridges made of untreated German silver. The chrono-graph mechanism is arranged on the side of the sapphire crystal back. It is controlled by a classic column wheel. The complicated calendar mechanism with 223 parts is located on the dial side. When fully wound, the spring barrel of the DATOGRAPH PERPETUAL has a power reserve of 36 hours. It is equipped with a stopwork which ensures that the movement is provided with nearly constant torque regardless of the state of wind. The accuracy of the watch originates from a balance with eccentric poising weights, a Lange balance spring, and with a frequency of 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour.

SENSUOUS DECORATIONS.

All parts of the movement are meticulously finished. The untreated German silver plates and bridges are decorated with perlage and Glashütte ribbing, all edges are chamfered and polished. This also applies to the whiplash spring and the classic column wheel.
