A LITTLE MECHANICAL GEM.
With a diameter of merely 25.6 millimetres and a height of only 3.2 millimetres, the manually wound L941.2 movement inside the LITTLE SAXONIA is among the smallest calibres that Lange’s master watchmakers have crafted so far. Nonetheless, it unites all of the quality attributes of a true Lange watch. The marvel of miniaturisation is composed of 164 parts. When fully wound, the LITTLE SAXONIA has a power reserve of 45 hours.
164 PARTS – HAND-FINISHED WITH DEDICATION.
All surfaces of the movement are meticulously finished by hand, even those that only the master watchmakers will ever see. The three-quarter plate is decorated with Glashütte ribbing. Small levers and clicks are embellished with straight graining, wheels with circular graining. The bottom side of the plates is decorated with perlage and both sides of the mainspring barrel exhibit the Glashütte solarisation finish. Additionally, all the edges in the movement are chamfered and polished with dedication.
VERY TINY – BUT NEVERTHELESS MECHANICALLY ADVANCED.
It takes a very close look to discover all the intricacies of this amazing little oeuvre. Four of the 21 ruby-red bearing jewels are held in screwed gold chatons – a trademark of all manually wound Lange watches. The petite balance cock is exquisitely engraved. And the three-quarter plate offers a clear view of the escapement including the shock-protected screw balance with a Nivarox 1 hairspring and the whiplash precision index adjuster.
