While they were developing the LANGEMATIK PERPETUAL, A. Lange & Söhne’s calibre engineers went beyond the implementation of the perpetual calendar as an elaborate complication. They ventured a step further by thinking all functions through to their logical conclusion and creating an immaculate timepiece that takes every detail of the concept of perpetuity into account.
The calendar displays of the watch can be advanced individually or – with a main push piece – collectively. This feature makes it particularly easy to synchronise the watch not only after it has not been worn for an extended period but also when 29 February is skipped in the secular year of 2100. On this date, the cadrature of an ordinary “perpetual calendar” without separately switchable indications must be corrected by a watchmaker. The calendar of the LANGEMATIK PERPETUAL, however, can simply be advanced. This makes it a timepiece truly crafted for eternity, a masterpiece that will delight many coming generations.  |
