It provides its owner with essential information at a glance: hours, minutes, and seconds, the day of the week, the date, the month, and the moon phase. The moon-phase display, incidentally, is so accurate that it only needs to be corrected by one day every 122 years, provided the watch runs without interruption for that long.

The SAXONIA ANNUAL CALENDAR indicates the time on a small and a grand scale – with a noble, contemporary design. The message of the watch is clear, and the only numerals on the dial are in the outsize date aperture. Even the omission of every other month abbreviation leverages the concept of lucid minimalism. Eminent legibility is the result of this understated layout with the semi-open minute scale which is interrupted by the applied baton-style hour markers.

A work of art such as the SAXONIA ANNUAL CALENDAR is available in 18-carat white or pink gold. As in all Lange watches, its case is hand-finished and polished with extreme care, reflecting the attention to detail that characterises Saxon craftsmanship. The watch is worn on a crocodile strap with an engraved solid-gold buckle. The sapphire-crystal caseback exposes the delicately embossed gold rotor with its platinum centrifugal mass. Ruby-red jewels and blued screws colour-
fully accent the meticulously finished Lange movement inside the case.
