Unambiguous: the A. Lange & Söhne authenticity certificates
As the owner of an A. Lange & Söhne watch, you have the option of having the authenticity of your timepiece confirmed and certified by our Service Team. A. Lange & Söhne offers two different certificates: a document named proof of origin for timepieces crafted after 1994 and a certificate for historic Lange watches documenting their origin. Please note that A. Lange & Söhne does not issue valuation reports – neither for historic Lange watches, nor for timepieces crafted after 1994.
Certificates for Lange wristwatches
On request, our Service Team will provide proof of origin of Lange wristwatches crafted after 1994 to eliminate any doubts whether a timepiece is a genuine product of A. Lange & Söhne. To issue the certificate, which is subject to a charge, the timepiece must be submitted to the Manufactory in Glashütte or to one of our international Service Centres for examination.
A. Lange & Söhne will issue a certificate for any authentic historic Lange watch. In collaboration with the Glashütte Watch Museum, this makes it possible to remove any doubt whether the timepiece is actually a genuine historic A. Lange & Söhne watch. Additionally, the certificate identifies the first owner, the date of delivery, and the purchase price paid at the time. A copy of the historic sales documents is also enclosed with the certificate. To issue the certificate, which is subject to a charge, we require the movement and case numbers of the watch. More detailed information can be included if a photo or the historic timepiece itself can be submitted.
