Since 1 July 2004, every Lange timepiece has been delivered to its owner with a unique companion: the booklet entitled "The History of Your Watch". Its purpose is to document the life of each Lange watch and accompany it throughout the generations. Lange is the world's first watch manufactory to offer its customers such a service book. It demonstrates Lange's unconditional confidence in the perfection of the work of its watchmakers, both during the manufacturing phase and in the course of all service interventions. International Lange Guarantee The first page of the booklet displays the International Lange Guarantee Seal. This certificate indicates all the data needed to identify your watch, including the model, case, and movement numbers. Fully completed, the guarantee seal substantiates your entitlement to warranty claims. The date of purchase entered on this page is the start date of the 2-year Lange guarantee. Dedication The section entitled "A Masterpiece for Generations" is where the owner of the watch can enter personal information. A dedication can be added here if the watch is intended as a gift or a legacy. These pages make it possible to track consecutive owners of the watch across several generations. Service Log The service log at the end of the booklet provides a revealing chronology of all repairs and service interventions. The watchmaker who serviced your timepiece will personally enter all the work performed. The service seal and the watchmaker's signature at the bottom of each log page confirm that the intervention was performed at the Lange manufactory or by an authorised Lange Service Centre. If you purchased your A. Lange & Söhne prior to 1 July 2004, you will not yet have a personal copy of the booklet "The History of Your Watch". You will receive the booklet as a substitute for your warranty card the next time you have your watch serviced.
