Since mid-April, the timepieces of A. Lange & Söhne are presented in their own ambience at the newly opened flagship store of Schaap en Citroen at Amsterdam's most exclusive P. C. Hooftstraat shopping mile. In a shop in shop that perfectly reflects the philosophy of the Saxon manufactory watch enthusiasts can now admire the precise and consummately handcrafted masterpieces at a close range. The brand has already been represented for several years in The Hague and Maastricht.
Founded in 1888, Schaap en Citroen is one of the oldest and largest retailers in the Dutch luxury timepiece market. It operates a total of eight points of sale in the Netherlands. Apart from A. Lange & Söhne, the company's portfolio includes further top brands in the haute horlogerie segment.
For A. Lange & Söhne, the first presence in the Dutch capital has significant implications: "We have a loyal and ever growing fan base here. The partnership with one of the most prestigious watch dealers in the country finally gives our Dutch brand enthusiasts and the many international visitors to the city the opportunity to purchase our watches locally”, noted Andreas Haude, General Manager Northern Europe at A. Lange & Söhne. “Schaap en Citroen is an ideal partner, who is passionately committed to the brand and can leverage its in-depth experience to assure unprecedented customer service." To Mark van Nieuwkerk, CEO of Schaap en Citroen, the expansion of his company's brand portfolio is an important step forward: "We are happy that with our new flagship store we can offer an excellent platform for the much-anticipated premiere of A. Lange & Söhne in Amsterdam."
