The flyback function of the | chronograph makes it possible to stop an ongoing time measurement by pressing a button and instantly start a new measurement simply by releasing the button again. The flyback mechanism was very popular during the fledgling years of aviation in the early 20th century. Unfortunately, it was gradually forgotten in the wake of the rapid evolution of technology. With a newly developed mechanism, Lange staged an impressive renaissance for the flyback function.
