“Cars and watches have always been far more than their technical characteristics. Passionate people, an inventive spirit and ingenuity have repeatedly set milestones in terms of technology, design and craftsmanship. The enthusiasm for these achievements connects collectors and connoisseurs of high-precision mechanical timepieces with lovers of classic or extraordinary automobiles.” This is how Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid described the company’s deep-rooted passion for sophisticated mechanical engineering and classic elegance.

Nearly two decades ago, the DATOGRAPH by A. Lange & Söhne became the symbol of the manufactory’s ambition to continually expand the boundaries of mechanical timekeeping. Due to the unique way in which the watch melds sophisticated technology and eloquent design, its movement is considered to be one of the most beautiful chronograph calibres. Subsequent to the widely acclaimed premieres of the DATOGRAPH in 1999, Lange established a series of further milestones in chronograph design, among them unique timepieces such as the DOUBLE SPLIT or the GRAND COMPLICATION. In January 2018, A. Lange & Söhne presented the TRIPLE SPLIT as the latest momentous addition to its portfolio of high-end chronographs: The first mechanical split-seconds chronograph in the world that allows multi-hour comparative time measurements.

Only the best watchmakers can put together the individual subsystems with the precision required for them to interact flawlessly in the end.
