THIRD YEAR BOUTIQUE OPERATOR GUARANTEE

 


Guarantee for an Additional Third Year


The following Third Year Boutique Operator Guarantee applies to A. Lange & Söhne watches sold and presented for service in an A. Lange & Söhne Boutique in any country (including the United States of America and Canada).
We guarantee this watch against all material and manufacturing defects for an additional third year beyond the standard International Lange Manufacturer’s Guarantee term – which is two years from the date of purchase – but only if you validly register your watch online at www.alange-soehne.com (the “Operator Guarantee Period”) and provide the original of the duly completed and stamped Third Year Boutique Operator Guarantee confirmation document (the “Document”), which will be sent to you once you have registered online. Please save the original Document, as it will be necessary to provide it at the time of service of your watch.


Should this watch prove defective during the additional third year, please return it to an authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutique; only the authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutiques are able to provide guarantee service as defined in this Third Year Boutique Operator Guarantee. 


If the watch is returned during the Operator Guarantee Period, we will repair or replace any defective watch or part free of charge within a reasonable time after the watch is returned, subject to the right to charge for shipping costs. After the Operator Guarantee Period ends, all repairs will be subject to usual charges for parts, labour and service.


You may obtain service by bringing or sending the watch to an authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutique. You are responsible for all shipping and related costs, including but not limited to postage, insurance and packing materials. We recommend that any shipments to an authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutique include registered delivery and insurance.


In order to obtain service through this Third Year Boutique Operator Guarantee, the returned watch must be accompanied by the original Document, duly completed, dated, stamped and signed by an authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutique. Such Document may only be completed by an authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutique.


Conditions not covered


This Third Year Boutique Operator Guarantee does not cover:


(a)  defects and damages due to loss, theft or fire, or other causes beyond our control;


(b)  defects and damages resulting from misuse or negligence, or from accident;


(c)  defects and damages caused by improper use (knocks; dents; crushing to the case, crystal,   bracelet or strap; etc.), alterations, tampering, dismantling or services and repairs completed by   anyone other than an authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutique, or by the use of components other   than those recommended by A. Lange & Söhne;


(d)  defects and damages due to normal wear and tear;


(e)  watches where the serial number originally imprinted on the watch case is removed or not clearly   legible, or where any part of the original watch back or any original number has been removed,   changed, altered, replaced, erased or defaced;


(f)  routine maintenance and cleaning.


This Third Year Boutique Operator Guar antee gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary in the United States of America from state to state and may in addition vary from one country, province or territory to another. 


Only authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutiques are entitled to provide guarantee service as defined herein. For more information and a complete list of authorised A. Additional Third Year Boutique Operator Guarantee conditions applicable in  the United States of America and Canada only:


Limited Warranty


EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE THIRD YEAR BOUTIQUE OPERATOR GUARANTEE SET FORTH ABOVE IS A LIMITED WARRANTY AND SHALL BE THE EXCLUSIVE BOUTIQUE OPERATOR’S WARRANTY IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. NEITHER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY NOR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL EXTEND BEYOND THE ADDITIONAL OPERATOR GUARANTEE PERIOD. DURING THE OPERATOR GUARANTEE PERIOD, THE BOUTIQUE OPERATOR WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION ANY DEFECTIVE WATCH OR PART UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY FREE OF CHARGE, SUBJECT TO THE RIGHT TO CHARGE FOR THE SHIPPING COSTS, AND SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:


THE RETURNED WATCH MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE DOCUMENT, DULY COMPLETED, DATED, STAMPED AND SIGNED BY AN AUTHORISED A. LANGE & SÖHNE BOUTIQUE. SUCH DOCUMENT MAY ONLY BE COMPLETED BY AN AUTHORISED A. LANGE & SÖHNE BOUTIQUE.


THE SERIAL NUMBER ORIGINALLY IMPRINTED ON THE WATCH CASE IS CLEARLY LEGIBLE AND NO PART OF THE ORIGINAL WATCH BACK OR ORIGINAL SERIAL NUMBER HAS BEEN REMOVED, CHANGED, ALTERED, REPLACED, ERASED OR DEFACED.


IN ADDITION TO THE FOREGOING, ALL OTHER CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THE INTERNATIONAL LANGE MANUFACTURER’S GUARANTEE AND NOTED ABOVE UNDER CONDITIONS NOT COVERED ARE APPLICABLE TO THE BOUTIQUE OPERATOR LIMITED WARRANTY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND CANADA.


FAILURE OF ANY OF THESE CONDITIONS VOIDS ALL WARRANTY RIGHTS. THIS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY. THE BOUTIQUE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. 


The Boutique Operator does not authorise any A. Lange & Söhne Boutique Operator or any other third party to make any warranties beyond this Limited Warranty or to otherwise assume for the Boutique Operator any obligations or liability in connection with the sale or distribution of A. Lange & Söhne products. Some states, provinces or territories do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.


A warranty claim may be made by bringing or sending the watch to an A. Lange & Söhne Boutique. You are responsible for transportation costs, including but not limited to postage, insurance and packing materials. We recommend that any shipments to an authorised A. Lange & Söhne Boutique include registered delivery and insurance.
