Our craft is characterised by tradition. It can be found in classical elements as well as sophisticated watchmaking complications. For example, all our balance cocks are engraved by hand. Each engraver has their own personal style, making each timepiece unique. Even parts that lie inside the movement are bevelled, polished and engraved. From the classic model with only two hands to large complications, each timepiece is finished to perfection. All this culminates in our HANDWERKSKUNST models. And there is another step in the manufacturing process that goes into every Lange watch – the twofold assembly. With an A. Lange & Söhne, you are not only acquiring an exceptional timepiece, but also several hours of elaborate craftsmanship.
Influenced by Walter Lange's motto “There is something one should expect not only of a watch but also of oneself: to never stand still.”, nothing seems impossible for our watchmakers. This is apparent by the many patents and advanced designs that have revolutionised fine watchmaking. Like the TRIPLE SPLIT – the world's first mechanical rattrapante chronograph that allows comparative time measurements over several hours, accurate to the sixth of a second.
