RICHARD LANGE "Pour le Mérite" 260.028

Mechanical finesse and superb refinement

The salient technical hallmark of the Richard Lange “Pour le Mérite” – and of all “Pour le Mérite” models since 1994 – is a fusée-and-chain transmission. Its most important parts are visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback. Apertures in the three-quarter plate reveal the 636-part chain, the blocking mechanism for the winder and the ratchet wheel under which the fusée and the planetary gearing are located.

The white-gold case of the watch, which is limited to 218 pieces, has a diameter of 40.5 millimetres. White Roman numerals and the hands in rhodiumed gold contrast well against the black solid-silver dial. Small Arabic numerals in red for 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes add delicate nuances of colour to the dial. The attribute “Pour le Mérite” indicates that the movement is one of the manufacture’s most sophisticated calibres.
