OUR RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS OUR EMPLOYEES

Our employees make our company. That’s why we create an environment where personal efforts are recognised, talents are encouraged and diversity is valued. A good work–life balance matters to us.

DIVERSE AND INTERNATIONAL

With a presence in 62 countries, our company cares about openness, tolerance and social involvement. These values shape our everyday work at the Glashütte site and around the world. With an intensive onboarding process and a relocation service for international employees, we foster intercultural diversity within our company.

FLEXIBLE AND FAMILY-FOCUSED

As a family-friendly employer, we offer flexible working hours and even various part-time models under consideration of individual personal situations. We support young families by financially assisting with childcare costs. We celebrate personal occasions together, make music in the Lange band, and take part in annual dragon boat races and other group activities together. Our employees can take advantage of various pension options, ensuring that their dedication pays off later, too.

SUSTAINABLE AND HEALTHY

With comprehensive health management, encompassing presentations, massages, vaccinations, an ergonomic working environment and various sport options, we provide employees with support in sustainable preventive measures. Voluntary and charitable work by the employees is also encouraged. For instance, numerous Lange employees work for the Technisches Hilfswerk (THW – Federal Agency for Technical Relief), the voluntary fire brigade and the Red Cross.

FAME AND FUTURE FOCUS

The Lange watchmaking school founded in 1997 offers a training course that meets the manufactory’s high standards. Over 100 young watchmakers take part in training. They are among the best in their field, and most will go on to participate in the three-year apprenticeship in Lange’s workshops. Since 2013, we have also trained a small number of toolmakers. Our educational institute has already conceived regional and national watchmaking champions and has been named an “Outstanding educational institution” by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

We offer our employees a personalised induction programme, regular feedback meetings, on-the-job training and a wide range of opportunities to develop through specialist, intercultural and language training.

Job profiles

Lucien Teuscher

Production Controller and Deputy Manager for Watch Assembly

Lucien joined us as an apprentice watchmaker. Once his training was complete, the manufactory took him on, and he obtained wide-ranging watchmaking experience in watch assembly. Lucien’s work was highly impressive, and he expressed a desire to acquire further qualifications. Accordingly, we supported his decision to begin training as an industrial engineer at a vocational college. Following his studies, he transferred to the manufactory’s production controlling team. Today, Lucien is part of A. Lange & Söhne’s watch assembly management team.
