1815 RATTRAPANTE HONEYGOLD “Homage to F. A. Lange” reference 425.050

Inspiring tradition

The 1815 RATTRAPANTE HONEYGOLD “Homage to F. A. Lange” is the manufacture’s sixth rattrapante chronograph. Limited to 100 watches and exclusively available in A. Lange & Söhne boutiques, this timepiece puts the focus on the eponymous complication. It ranks among the most elaborate constructions in precision watchmaking and allows the measurement of comparative and intermediate times. With a case made of Lange’s exclusive honey gold, featuring a black dial in solid silver, this exclusive timepiece presents itself with an inimitable design.

The artisanal finish of the newly developed L101.2 manually wound calibre recalls the historic pocket watches in the 1A quality category. The raised frame parts, for instance, are made of German silver and feature granular surfaces. The upper sides of the moving parts of the rattrapante chronograph, such as levers, springs and jumpers, are decorated with straight graining, while the chamfers are polished. This polishing technique is particularly challenging given the many acute internal angles. The manual engravings on the cocks and bridges as well as the engraved inscriptions are black rhodiumed. The dark hue of the galvanically applied coating adds a prominent touch to the engravings.
