Superior precision with artisanal perfection

For the first time, in the 1815 TOURBILLON, A. Lange & Söhne combined the patented stop-seconds mechanism for the tourbillon with the ZERO-RESET time-setting mechanism. On the occasion of Ferdinand Adolph Lange’s 200th birthday in 2015, the timepiece designed for superior precision was presented in a HANDWERKSKUNST edition limited to 30 watches. They are endowed with extraordinary dial and movement decorations.

Movement L102.1

The dial is made of black-rhodiumed pink gold and finished with tremblage. The black polish on the bridge and upper side of the tourbillon cage ranks among the most challenging forms of finissage. The newly designed three-quarter plate of the calibre L102.1 can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback. It features generous apertures that reveal the mainspring barrel and parts of the wheel train – as well as a delicately grained surface inspired by historic pocket watches.
