In honour of a legend
Walter Lange was born on 29 July 1924. He is the man who after the fall of the Wall had the courage to breathe new life into A. Lange & Söhne. His quest for perfection, his passion for artisanal skills and his fascination for outstanding technical achievements are all reflected in the 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange”. The reference number 297 and the calibre number L1924 refer to his date of birth.
Movement L1924
With its minimalistic design, the 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange” features an exceptional complication: a jumping sweep-seconds hand with a start-and-stop function. It is based on an invention of Walter Lange’s great-grandfather dating back to 1867. The limited edition of this timepiece – 90 in pink gold, 27 in yellow gold and 145 in white gold – recalls milestones of Lange’s watchmaking history.
