For several generations, the watchmakers of A. Lange & Söhne have been pursuing one goal: To craft timepieces that represent the pinnacle of international watchmaking artistry. Walter Lange once said: "There's something that we should expect not only of our watches, but also of ourselves: to never stand still." This is an attitude that we at A. Lange & Söhne have adopted with respect of exceptional mechanical masterpieces but also when dealing with important topics such as sustainability and social responsibility.
Sustainability
A Lange watch consists of several hundred individual parts that are painstakingly finished, decorated, and assembled by hand. In production, we make sure that the raw materials we use comply with internationally applicable guidelines. Our new manufacture building was designed in line with strict environmental standards.
Responsibility
As a mayor and a Landtag representative, Ferdinand A. Lange was aware of his social responsibility. We, too, are committed to the common good. With sincere conviction, we initiate and support social, cultural, and charitable projects.
Milestones
In 1990, a watchmaking company named A. Lange & Söhne was established in Glashütte for the second time. Ferdinand Adolph Lange’s great-grandson Walter Lange had the courage to relaunch the brand from scratch. Since then, our company has experienced decisive milestones and paradigm changes.
