Elegance in its purest form
With its design reduced to the essence and a slender manufacture movement, the SAXONIA THIN radiates pure elegance. The flattest timepiece crafted by Lange so far concentrates on the essential functions of a mechanical watch – the indication of time in hours and minutes.
Introduced in 2011, the watch comes with three different case diameters: 37, 39 or 40 millimetres. In 2018 and 2020, model versions exhibiting dials faced with goldstone were additionally launched. Presented in 2025, two special 200-piece limited editions enrich the range with two refined versions, one in 750 honey gold (HONEYGOLD®) and one in 950 platinum, both featuring a jet-black, glossy onyx dial.
Dedication to detail
The lucid and harmonious face of the SAXONIA THIN is the result of precisely adapted proportions, emphasising its wearer’s elegant appearance. Regardless of whether at a dinner in the evening or a business meeting during the day – without fail, it expresses a sense of style.
The Lange designers dedicated a large part of their work to optimising the length and shape of the hands, to the intricate detailing of the baton appliques and their polished chamfers as well as to the sleek, three-part case, giving the SAXONIA THIN its characteristic air of lightness. Thanks to the well-proportioned curvature of the sleek lugs, the two-hand watch assures a snug fit on the wrist and can be slipped under a shirt cuff.
Dedication to detail is not only restricted to the design of the dial and the case: it extends into the interior of the timepiece.
Elegant design – extending into the movement
The arched lines of the three-quarter plate, the proportions of the individual movement elements to one another, even the position of the blued screws around the gold chatons are harmonised with a view to the optimal aesthetic overall impression. The captivating combination of gold chatons, blued screws and ruby-red bearing jewels provides a striking colourful accent.
Upon closer inspection of the manufacture movement, further quality hallmarks, typical of Lange, can be perceived, for example the bevelled and polished chamfers of the three-quarter plate and balance cock. Similar to historic pocket watches, the ratchet wheel and crown wheel are decorated with solarisation and visibly integrated into the plate.
Bearing the escape wheel, the flat-polished endpiece is lavishly polished by hand and provides an eye-catching detail. Here, aesthetic perfection is carried to the extremes: after insertion, the chamfer of this flat steel component is manually adapted to the chamfer of the three-quarter plate.

Movement L093.1
As is the case with every Lange timepiece, the SAXONIA THIN is equipped with a dedicated manufacture movement crafted in-house and assembled twice: the manually wound movement, finished to the highest standards of Lange’s watchmaking artistry, can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback. The technical particularities of the calibre L093.1 with a height of merely 2.9 millimetres include a flat mainspring barrel: despite its compact architecture, it boasts a maximum power reserve of 72 hours.
